This voluntary non-commercial blog was created in 2015 with a purpose to share ideas and methods with practitioners in geoscience text analytics and enterprise search & discovery.
I make no money from the blog, I post in my spare time on weekends and evenings.
Any advertising you see is because I don’t pay WordPress anything for the blog and the free option means they can put their own ads on it.
The vision is to enhance how unstructured geoscience information is digitally exploited to benefit society and industry.
The blog content (here and posted on LinkedIN) had around 100 views in 2015, by early 2023 that had grown to over 400,000 from 63 different countries. In January 2024 the blog reached a milestone being read in over 100 countries.
Some of the feedback I have received includes, “a gold mine of knowledge for the industry”, “thought provoking”, “inspiring”, “beyond cool”.
